Kongvene Terms of Use
Effective Date: July 27, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and CircleRootTech LLC ("CircleRootTech LLC," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of Kongvene (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The Service
Kongvene helps mahjong circles coordinate play days, track RSVPs, rotate hosting duties, and keep informal records of shared dues among circle members.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
3. Payments and Dues Tracking
Kongvene is not a payment processor, money transmitter, or financial institution, and does not handle, hold, process, or transmit funds of any kind.
The dues amounts and "paid"/"unpaid" statuses shown in the App are entered manually by circle organizers or members and reflect self-reported or organizer-reported information only. The App does not verify, guarantee, or confirm that any payment has actually occurred.
Where the App provides a shortcut to open Venmo, Cash App, or a similar third-party service with a pre-filled amount, that shortcut simply opens a link on your own device. Any resulting payment happens entirely within the third-party service, between the individuals involved, and is subject to that service's own terms and conditions. We are not a party to, and have no responsibility for, any payment made or attempted through such a service.
You acknowledge and agree that CircleRootTech LLC is not responsible for, and disclaims all liability related to: (a) any dispute between circle members regarding whether dues were actually paid; (b) any failed, delayed, incorrect, or fraudulent payment made through a third-party payment service; (c) any action taken by Venmo, Cash App, or any other third-party service; or (d) any loss arising from reliance on dues information displayed in the App.
Venmo and Cash App are trademarks of their respective owners. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Venmo, PayPal, Block, Inc., or Cash App.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a circle
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or to circles you have not been invited to
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation
5. User Content
You retain ownership of the content you submit to the App (such as circle names, play day notes, and profile information). By submitting content, you grant us a license to store, display, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the App for you and your circle members.
6. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. Circles you created remain available to their other members after your account is deleted, consistent with the confirmation shown in the App at the time of deletion.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CircleRootTech LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of money, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to any dues-related dispute or any third-party payment service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed fifty dollars ($50).
9. Changes to the App and These Terms
We may modify or discontinue the App, or update these Terms, at any time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
